Noelle Bergener made her name known in the new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
She chose to take on the queen bee, Heather Dubrow, while also dealing with a dramatic split from her ex, James Bergener. But James has been incredibly difficult to track down. He served Noella divorce papers from Puerto Rico, but she’s been unable to serve him with his… until now!
It looks like Noella’s mother, Nancy Noel, took matters into her own hands and tracked down her daughter’s estranged husband.
Noella Bergener’s storyline on the current season of RHOC has focused on her shocking divorce from James Bergener, who served her with divorce papers after leaving for Puerto Rico.
On the December 22 episode of RHOC, Noella cried while telling Nicole James what happened with her husband, James. While at a restaurant, Noella begged her friend to hug her as she cried that her life was over.
“I still need to find him in order to turn back on the credit cards, make sure that rent gets paid, and to afford my son’s therapy,” Noella told Nicole.
Nicole then asked if she thinks he left for good, and Noella replied, “I know he left. He took his toothbrush.”
James didn’t block Noella’s number, but he didn’t pick up when she called.
“I don’t know what the next step is and all I can think about in my head is, ‘I don’t know,’ and that’s a very scary place for me to because I’ve never had a day in my life where I don’t know what I’m gonna do,” she said in her confessional.
According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, Noella filed for separation on August 2. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
The couple got married in June 2020, but share a 2-year-old son together. The southern California native has a daughter from a previous relationship.
In the legal documents, Noella asked for primary custody of their son and added that her ex should only have visitation rights. Additionally, Noella asked for monthly spousal support and asked the courts to terminate any possibility of her paying anything to James.
But since filing for separation, Noella has struggled to track down James in order to bring him to court. On March 22, she was finally able to serve him her summons for divorce.
The Sun reported that Noella’s 68-year-old mother was the one who was able to hand James his papers. The reality star’s ex was at an $8 million estate in Newport Coast, CA.
Serving one another with papers has been difficult for the couple. Noella previously admitted that James finally got her to accept his divorce summons by having her served by someone posing as a flower delivery person.
In her new petition for divorce, Noella is asking for spousal support and for her attorney fees to be covered by James. She is allowing her ex to have visitation rights with their son.
